For Internet Explorer 5.0 and higher on Windows 95/98/2000 Pro/XP:
- Click Start, click Control
Panel, click Internet Options
- Click
on the Connections tab
- If you already have a Dial up connection
created go to step 5
- Click
on the Add button and follow the instructions to
create a new dial-up networking connection
- To
have Windows automatically dial your selected dial-up connection, choose
either the "Dial whenever a network connection is not present" or
"Always dial my default connection" radio button.
- Click
on the Settings button. The
Dial-up Connection Settings dialog box will appear:
- Ensure
all of the settings are correct and click on the
Advanced tab. The
Advanced Dial-up dialog box will appear:

Check the appropriate checkboxes for how you would
like to automatically disconnect.
When any application that uses the Internet is started, the auto-dialer will
automatically start.
