WebWatchBot, a 32-bit application, will run on 32-bit as well as 64-bit Windows. 64-bit Windows OSs emulate 32-bit mode, allowing them to run (refer to: Running 32-bit Applications from MSDN)

CPU²

Minimum and Recommended: Intel or AMD processor with 2 or more cores or CPUs

Memory²

Minimum: 1GB Minimum
Recommended: 2GB or more

Hard Drive Space

100 MB Minimum - as data is collected, disk space usage will increase

Video²

Any Windows®-compatible video card
Recommended setting 1024x768, more than 256 colors

Sound²

Windows®-compatible sound card - recommended but not required

Virtual Machine Support

WebWatchBot is compatible with both VM-Ware and Microsoft Virtual Server/PC and Hyper-V. WebWatchBot can be installed on a virtual machine with the above requirements.

Additional Configuration Requirements/Recommendations

WebWatchBot Online (Web Client)

Web Browser for web client: Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10.
Server with WebWatchBot requires IIS to be pre-installed with ASP.Net. Server also requires .NET Framework v4.0 (included in installer).

WebWatchBot's Database

WebWatchBot requires SQL Server 2005(Good), 2008(Better), or 2012(Best). You can pre-install SQL Server or specify an existing SQL Server installation during setup.

Permissions and Access

WebWatchBot Manager (Windows Client)

The logged in user must have FULL CONTROL permission in the directories and sub-directories:
System Temporary Directory
\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
The logged in user must have READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permission in the directories and sub-directories:
\Program Files\WebWatchBot [2/3/4/5/6/7]\
The logged in user must have permission to read, write, and create keys the system registry.

WebWatchBot Service (WWBServer)

WebWatchBot installs its Windows Service component, named WWBServer.
NOTE FOR WEBWATCHBOT V3.0.2 AND OLDER: WWBServer must log in under the "Local System Account" Account. This should not be changed. Additionally, the SYSTEM ("Local System Account"), must be set to interact with the desktop.
NOTE FOR WEBWATCHBOT V3.0.3 AND NEWER: If you change the logged in user account, ensure to reflect this change below, substituting SYSTEM with the specified user account.

The following provides some basic guidelines for sizing your machine based on sample configurations

Stage 1

1-50 Watch Items

CPU: Pentium® or AMD processor with 2 or more cores or CPUs
Memory: 2 GB or more
Hard Drive Space: 40-500MB initially, additional 150MB per month
Database Software: Microsoft® SQL Server®. Min ver: 2005. Rec ver: 2012

Stage 2

50-100 Watch Items, with less than 50 watch items/minute running

WebWatchBot Version: Enterprise
